Reflection

I'm not sure why it has taken me a week to reflect on the year that was, but I guess I hadn't really really thought about it until the last few days...

Lost some fake friends, gained and kept some real ones.
Lost family.
Re-realized how important family is.
Found the person who completes me.
Was tested on many levels and made it out alive.
Found out how fortunate I really am.

{{ Wishes }}

People realize who their real friends are.
Everyone tell their family they love them everyday.
Everyone finds the person that completes them.
Everyone may be tested and come out a better person because of it.
Everyone to be aware of how lucky they truly are.

Happy 2011 <3

2011: Year of the Rabbit

Happy New Year!! I've always been intrigued by the Chinese zodiac [or any for that matter!]. So below is a little info I found on 2011...

The year of the Rabbit will begin on Thursday, February 3.

The year of the Rabbit is traditionally associated with home and family, artistic pursuits, diplomacy, and keeping the peace. Therefore, 2011 is very likely to be a relatively calmer one than 2010 both on the world scene, as well as on a personal level.

Conversely, nations will also become more insular and increasingly lock down their borders to protect against the "other". However, 2011 will also see new art movements projecting a distinct national identity taking the world by storm. Shrewd and creative new business partnerships will also form to the benefit of all.

Rabbits who thrive on delicate business dealings are best suited to navigating the year ahead. Those compatible with the Rabbit [Sheep, Dog and Pig in particular...] will also find 2011's circumstances inspiring them to greater personal happiness and professional success.

Others will suffer, by degree, depending on how flexible they are to the world mood. Those who have cultivated careful negotiation skills (or, perhaps more importantly, can sniff-out and swiftly dodge dangerous situations!), may attain similar good luck enjoyed by rabbits and those compatible with them in 2011.

Ringing in the New Year!

If you are like us and didn't make New Years plans until yesterday I have a FANtastic idea for you! We are going to Harrah's Louisiana Downs tonight to pretend we're in the best decade [EVER] with The Spazmatics!!

They are a great cover band and can make you feel like you are in a John Hughes movie in an instant. Love these guys... So if you don't, or do, have plans just stop on by and see what I am talking about so you don't think I am a crazy person :)

Happy New Year Everyone!! 2011 should prove to be the best yet!

Carl Wheezer's heart

Above is probably one of the funniest things I have seen in awhile [warning: I do have a bit of an unbalanced sense of humor at times]. There are four episodes of these lovely llama shenanigans on YouTube so if this isn't enough for you, by all means...
And a special thanks goes out to the joint efforts of Rickey and Jeremy for allowing me to see this gloriousness and Stephanie and Gregg for sitting through all four episodes with us Tuesday night when we kidnapped you.
